Just seen Amys report(on that other site)on Newton Res. raising limits. Are there perch in that water if so any size? Also are the bluegills big enough to plan a day trip up there?Looked at the gov.water quality report, and it was not that good.Seen some picts of tiger muskys that were hugh taken from there.K2 what are your thoughts on this body of water?

Based on last year ice fishing we managed smaller Perch 6-8" but friends of ours did catch some nice size ones 10". Now there are some larger ones in there but we couldn't find them last year like years past. Unsure on the gills as we've only fished Newton on the hard deck. But based on having been there I can tell you with it being so low the shorelines will be a mud fest. If you do go recommend you wear your worst clothes and hip waders. If you can get on with a tube or toon you'd fair better fishing.
We never get skunked...its the fish that get skunked they just keep missing our lures....
