General Fishing Discussion, Questions about Fishing, Gear, Baits, Tips, Techniques

Got in a discussion with a couple people and the subject of knots came up. I was surprised how many different knots people use as their "goto" knot. I prefer the Clinch for really light line or improved Clinch for anything heavier. Also do a fair amount of knot tying with a Snell knot for double hooks.
Any other favorites to concider?

I use just the old butchers knot(slip knot) with a 3 hitch to snug it.

I'm old and boring so just use the improved Clinch for knots on both soft water and hard deck. Oh and don't forget the spit on the knot before pulling tight.
We never get skunked...its the fish that get skunked they just keep missing our lures....

I'm with K2. I also use a nail knot fly fishing as well as a blood knot at times.
