Opinions needed for icons

I'm trying to create some new icons that show new & read forums, new & read posts etc, something to add a splash of color. Here is a quick idea, in different colors. A few of these I've already added to the board just as a test.

I'd love to hear feedback if people like or dislike these, and what colors they prefer. Generally it seems the lighter backgrounds contrast with the dark deer shape.
