Air Rifles

With the high demand and unavailability of .22LR ammo... I'm strongly considering getting a nice .22 cal air rifle. It seems to me that ammo is much much cheaper, super available and if worst came to worst, you could cast your own. Some of the new gun designs remove the spring and use a compressed oil diaphram to power things.

They look pretty snazzy! Might be just the ticket to replace a .22lr for garden varmint control.

That's actually something I've been considering lately as well. What model are you looking at?

I was looking at this:

Reasonable price and good reviews if you google around. You want to look for new guns based on the "Nitro Piston" technology... it replaces the springs of the older styles. Cocking the gun simply compresses the nitrogen charged piston.

Interesting, you'll have to post up a review if you buy it.
