I know this isnt outdoors stuff,but just finished 1st bushel of bottled tomatoes.How many do home canning here?I actually find it quite fullfilling, planting,harvest, bottle,then wait for my family to start asking :did you do any canning this year:,meaning we want some tomatoes,pickles,chili sauce,peaches,etc. I enjoy it.

We garden as well. We typically do tomatoes and peppers for salsa. I also have a bloody Mary recipe that I bottle. It's that time of year again.

Bah! I just chased a doe and two cute fawns out of the garden. I have a fence around it but its still not high enough. Dug out some old wire and raised it up even higher. I love deer but not in the tomatoes!

Well... It is my world famous, super top secret recipe.. But, I can make an exception for you. Do you want the 8oz recipe or the 12 quart batch?

It seems I have misplaced my recipe with the ingredients multiplied for a full 12 quart batch. However, I will figure it out since I will need it in the couple of weeks for myself.

The following is my super duper, world famous bloody Mary mix...

8oz tomato juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
1/2 once lime juice
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon beef bouillon
1/8 teaspoon celery salt

Careful with the cayenne pepper as it is very easy to over due. I also tend to adjust the celery salt up a little to taste. Garnish with celery, olives, asparagus, etc. Quality vodka, or virgin are both delicious. Enjoy!
