Folbe Rod Holders

We've been using Scotty rod holders and they have held up great and we like them. Decided to try the Folbe ones so watched the video on youtube...read up on them and thinking this will be an upgrade allowing easier removal of rods from holders. We looked at the Saltys but decided to go with Folbe side mount rod holders...ordered two and hopefully will be nothing but a thing to mount on our existing Lund Sport Trak side mounts the same as the Scotty mounts.

Thats pretty interesting. My rods have a clearance issue I cant fix with a pedestal, so I dont know if I could use them. But I would love to hear your opinion on how well they work and how durable they are. What keeps them from opening on their own or from rod tip pressure of a strike?

Got the Folbe rod holders this past Wednesday...immediately mounted and ops checked yesterday and for sure they are the ticket for us...very easy and smooth with a one motion lift up on rod release. Has a push/pull button on side to lock closed...worked great...should've gotten these years ago...will be purchasing a couple more well worth the money for anyone who does a whole lot of trolling like us. I'd recommend these rod holders as an upgrade for a serious trolling angler...

The Muskie Mulisha presented us with a rod last year for trolling but the fore grip didn't fit in our previous rod holders...so them Folbe rod holders for sure are the ticket...I really like...and now can't wait to use this custom made K2 via from our very dear MM friends presented us with last year to hook into the next Utah State TM record...and it will be legit beyond a reasonable doubt...

So for those of you who troll on a regular basis you can't go wrong upgrading tot he Folbe rod holders...they are beefy and very easy to mount...including have mounts for all types of mounting on their web page listed aboe including mounts for kayaks and toons...Yep call me partial but you won't be disappointed. Made in US of A and strongly K2 recommended...
