Huh, with the grand opening Saturday I was expecting somewhat of a media bliz with possibly some grand opening sale's going on. So far, other than a generic commercial or two on TV, I've seen nothing yet about it. Is there any reason to drive PAST cabelas to shop at Scheels? Kindof disappointed there isnt more buzz / deals planned.

I can't get very worked up over a sporting goods store that features a carnival ride. With that facility I suspect the prices will be pretty steep (eventually).

I drove by around 830 this morn and the line was all the way around the building. Sorry but im not waiting that long.

I made it there Monday, and was pleasantly surprised at their prices. Ammo was cheaper than at Cabela's, and decoys were about the same price as they are anywhere. Their selection certainly isn't what you will find at Sportsman's Warehouse or Cabelas, but if they have what you want, prices will probably be better. I was expecting grand opening sales, and didn't find many. There were a lot of people shopping, and not a lot of people buying (there were no lines at the checkout stand, even though the parking lot was nearly full).
